These sandwiches are perfect for a late afternoon tea party or if you want something to munch in between meal times. They are amazingly easy to make, as long as you already have all ingredients available.

Ingredients
- Bread slices. We used brown bread, but you can use white, multi grain, whole wheat, or any other bread type. You may optionally cut the crumb sides from bread slices.

- Watercress leaves. Discard stems and use leaves. We used Siamese watercress but you can use any watercress variant, including the more widely available English watercress. If no watercress is available, you can opt for corriander/cilantro leaves.

- Green apples, sliced wafer-thin. Any green apple that is slightly tart should do, and Granny Smith apples work very well. If you cannot find green apples, you can use the regular red apples, or even abandon apples altogether and use tomato slices!

- Cheese spread. Cheese spreads contain both butter and cheese, and come in many flavors. We used a plain cheese spread without any flavor, but you can experiment. However, try to use something flavored subtle because the rest of the ingredients are not strongly flavored. You can also use plain butter if you want to avoid cheese. Alternatives such as vegan butter should also suffice.

- Salt and pepper to taste.
Method
- Assemble bread slices, and apply cheese spread.

- Place slices of apple.

- Add a few watercress leaves. Don’t add too many leaves

- Sprinkle salt and pepper as needed.

- Cover with another slice of bread that has cheese spread applied.

- Serve with tea or coffee, or however you prefer.
